Mykola got to know the police chief. After their conversation, the man decided to help Mykola write a petition, which they sent both to Moskow and Habarowsk.

In a few weeks, Mykola got a trail in Habarowsk. When he came to the court he got very scared as he saw some soldiers and thought he is about to get another sentence. Once the trail started, the colonel took a word. It was his commander of the military unit.

Mykola was acquitted of all charges and became a free man.
